Why Mosaic

My aim with this shop is to offer a wide variety of items.  Some of the things are unique, others less so.  But I wish my items to never be boring and dull.  From time to time I will place once off items on sale that I need to clear.  I have a lot of those so keep checking in from time to time so that you don’t miss out.

Supplies Millefiori

Millefiori

Mille fiori is an Italian word and means, a thousand flowers.  I have nine primary designs and then some mixes.  I sell them either in sticks, or already cut up.  They are great for use in mosaics to add accents in addition to borders.  They are made much the same way as polymer flowers or patterns that are used in beaded necklaces are made.  But it is made with molten glass and formed and then stretched out.  There are videos on YouTube to watch.  It is really something.

Tiles

I do not have a large variety of tiles as there are many tiles that I just don’t like for mosaic.  Tiffany tiles are one of the most underrated tiles on the market.  They are beautiful and are easy to work with.  Tiny glitter or metallic tiles are great for borders and I have to admit, they are my weakness.  As I get rid of my stock overflow, I will be introducing more tiles.

Fusings

Glass fusing is something that I am very passionate about.  I make a great many glass fusings and as time goes on, there will be more appearing in the shop, but they will only be offered once I get rid of some excess stock as I cannot even get to my equipment at the moment because there is so much stuff in my studio.  So, keep coming back to check.

Tools

The tools of your trade are very important.  I have some wheeled cutters, spare wheels, and glass scorers.  It is important to take care of your cutters and mark the wheels as you use an turn them.  I might get some hammers and hardies in in future if there is enough demand.  If you are interested in acquiring a hammer and hardie, please leave me a comment on the contact page.
